About the women's counseling service
The Waldviertel Women's Counseling Center offers a wide range of free and confidential support services. The counseling centers are central points of contact for women in various life situations, including relationship problems, financial worries, and reorientation after a separation. All services are confidential and free of charge, designed to help women make independent and self-determined decisions.

A safe space for your concerns: We offer confidential support during personal crises, relationship conflicts, or parenting issues. Together, we will find ways to improve your quality of life and develop new perspectives for you and your family.
FBZ - Women's Career Center
New paths often begin with a conversation. At the Women's Career Center, you'll find a space for orientation, personal guidance, and career prospects. Whether you're returning to work, seeking a new direction, or have a concrete application – we support you with respect and expertise along the way.
FiT - Women in Crafts and Technology
Breaking with gender stereotypes: FiT offers job-seeking women the opportunity to reorient themselves, to try out technical and craft professions in practice and to prepare for a future-proof education through targeted qualification.
P.QU. - Precise Qualification
Your shortcut to your dream job: P.QU. enables job-seeking women to complete individually planned, shortened and practical apprenticeships in over 200 skilled trades and technical professions with comprehensive support and financial security.

Safety and support for a new beginning: We support women in difficult housing situations by providing them with protected housing and offer psychosocial support to solidify their step towards a self-determined, independent life.

If a safe place is the most important thing, we offer you and your children protection, stability and support on the path to a self-determined life.
Women's emergency shelter
The women's emergency shelter in Gmünd offers women and children in crisis situations a safe home for up to nine months. In addition to secure accommodation, we provide professional advice and support to stabilize your situation and pave the way to an independent life.
Temporary accommodation
Our three transitional apartments in the Waldviertel region serve as a safe haven for women and their children affected by violence. We offer them peace and security here for up to one year. We provide intensive support in managing daily life, reorienting their finances, and finding their own permanent housing.

We are regionally based in the Waldviertel region and are there for you locally. To make it as easy as possible for you to access support, we offer our full range of services at all four of our locations .

What is the Waldviertel Women's Counseling Center?
Die Frauenberatung Waldviertel ist eine (gemeinnützige) Institution von Frauen für Frauen und Mädchen in der gesamten Region Waldviertel – mit umfassenden Beratungs-, Bildungs- und Qualifizierungsangeboten in unterschiedlichen Bereichen.
What services are offered at women's and girls' counseling centers?
Wir unterstützen Frauen und Mädchen ab 14 Jahren – kostenlos, vertraulich und wenn gewünscht anonym. Über alle Belastungen und Sorgen kann gesprochen werden. Wir hören zu, urteilen nicht und drängen zu keiner Entscheidung. Sie bestimmen das Tempo.
Unser Angebot umfasst psychosoziale und rechtliche Beratung, Beratung für Migrantinnen (Dolmetschdienst verfügbar), Psychotherapie auf Krankenkasse, Gruppen und Veranstaltungen sowie Elternberatung gemäß §95A. Die Gespräche können persönlich, per Videocall oder im Chat stattfinden.

Das FrauenBerufsZentrum ist ein Ort für berufliche Orientierung und persönliche Beratung. Hier klären wir gemeinsam Ihre persönliche und berufliche Situation, entwickeln Perspektiven und planen konkrete nächste Schritte.
What is the FiT Center?
FiT ist ein Programm für Frauen, das neue Chancen in handwerklichen und technischen Berufen eröffnet. Es ermöglicht, verschiedene Tätigkeitsfelder kennenzulernen und den eigenen Blick für berufliche Möglichkeiten zu erweitern. Durch praktische Erfahrungen entsteht eine gute Grundlage, um die zukünftige Berufsrichtung bewusst zu wählen.

Die Punktgenaue Qualifizierung ermöglicht eine verkürzte Lehrausbildung in über 200 Berufen. Dabei werden Sie individuell begleitet und gezielt auf den Lehrabschluss vorbereitet.
